How should EMLA Cream be administered?

Emla cream should be used exactly as it states on the enclosed label or instructions. Use sparingly in as minimal amounts as possible. It is recommended to use your medical professional as advised, often 4 hours before your treatment.

There is a caution that your body can absorb more than is required of this cream. Use the smallest amount required. Covering the skin may also help keep the cream at its optimum performance. Again, ask your GP for advice first.

Store at room temperature away from moisture and heat.
